Ladbrokes may have English origins, but thankfully it’s much better than that country’s cricket team. Usability, Look & Feel - Stylish but slow site found in our Ladbrokes review

The Ladbrokes Australia site certainly looks good with its smart red, white and black colour scheme. However we felt that the page loading times were a little slower than you get elsewhere. We’re not sure if it was due to the sheer quantity of odds on each page or the increasingly annoying sight of Mark Wahlberg on the page loading screens, but it didn’t make for the most enjoyable start at Ladbrokes.

Thankfully, things improved fast and we realised that Ladbrokes had clearly worked hard on creating a seriously user-friendly site. We could do pretty much anything from making a deposit, to laying down a sports bet in just a few mouse clicks. Some bookies make their sports betting platforms overly cluttered, but we loved the clean and intuitive approach offered by Ladbrokes.

The Ladbrokes mobile app is actually even better than the website. We loved how fast it was to use the app, and nothing ever felt too crowded on the smaller screen of a smartphone. The Ladbrokes app is available for all modern iOS and Android devices and we’d definitely recommend downloading it for some fast and fun sports betting on the go.

Read our guide about how to open a Ladbrokes account

In order to give you the most useful Ladbrokes review Australia has to offer, we thought we should show you just how easy it is to set up an account with the bookie.

So here’s what you need to do. First, hit the Join button at the top of the betting site.   Here you’ll be given the option to create a customer account from your PayPal account or you could do it manually. We did it the manual way which meant giving Ladbrokes a few personal details like name, email address and so on.

Once you’d done this, it was a case of creating a unique username and password. Finally we had to enter in a date of birth, Australian home address and mobile number. Then it was just a matter of applying a deposit limit to keep our bets in check, and we could submit our application. We found that Ladbrokes Australia quickly processed our application and verified our account which meant that we could start betting in just a couple of minutes.

Payments - Safe ways to deposit and withdraw at Ladbrokes Australia

You’re not going to get too far with your online betting unless you put down a real money deposit. Thankfully, Ladbrokes Australia makes the process of depositing reassuringly easy and secure. You’ll get a choice of different payment providers for adding money to your account.

These include famous card brands like Visa and MasterCard, alongside ewallets like PayPal. The likes of POLi, BPay, Flexepin and PayID round out a familiar range of deposit options that you should find at all good Australian bookie sites. We found that our deposits went in instantly and we weren’t hit with any processing charges.

Our Ladbrokes review found that this betting site preferred to pay you back to the same payment method used to make a deposit. We made a PayPal withdrawal of our winnings and were pleased to see that the money had been put in our account in just under 48 hours. Just bear in mind that the withdrawal times might not be quite so fast for some of the other featured payment methods. Thankfully our withdrawals weren’t hit with any annoying fees and we received everything that we’d won with our sports bets.

Customer Service - 24/7 support found in our Ladbrokes review

There are few things more annoying than bad customer support. Thankfully this isn’t a problem that you are going to experience at Ladbrokes, as the brand operates a responsive and useful customer care team. We found that we could simply get in touch with the brand via the live chat link that you can access once you’ve logged into your account. There is also an email contact form found in the Help section that could be useful for if you haven’t got your account set up yet.

While we didn’t find any kind of telephone contact number at Ladbrokes, we did appreciate being able to contact the brand via its social media channels on Facebook and Twitter. There is also a 24/7 betting line that should be very handy for live betting. We should also note that there’s a decent FAQ section that has a bunch of articles devoted to topics like account registration, deposits, withdrawals, verification, responsible gambling and so on. Definitely enough here to prove that Ladbrokes is a bookie who cares about its customers.

License & Security - A fully licensed Ladbrokes Australia site

We’re going to have to talk about licensing in order to give you the most trustworthy review Australia has to offer. You should know that Ladbrokes is fully licensed and regulated by the Northern Territory Racing Commission. This shows that Ladbrokes isn’t a dodgy offshore gambling site and instead, it is an online bookie who is keen to host a fair, secure and honest sports betting service.

You shouldn’t worry too much about how Ladbrokes looks after your personal data. This is because the bookie’s website is secured with 2048-bit SSL encryption. Such technologies basically means that all data going between your browser and Ladbrokes is unreadable by anyone else.

We also appreciated that Ladbrokes is committed to responsible gambling. This can be seen in the handy session clock that’s included in the site footer to remind you of how long you’ve spent on the betting website. Plus with a bunch of flexible responsible gambling tools, you’ll have all you need to stop your sports bets from spiraling out of control.

Rewards - What else we discovered in our Ladbrokes review

We found that Ladbrokes is an online bookie who isn’t afraid to take your sports bets to the next level. This is because the bookmaker has lots of cool features that will make sure that your wins are maximised. Take the Ladbrokes Card that simply gives you an ultra-fast way to get your hands on whatever winnings you make.

The Ladbrokes site offers you plenty of ways to rethink how you approach sports betting. For example, the Jockey Challenge makes you predict whether a particular rider will come out top in a race meeting. It’s a novel approach to horse racing betting, and if you get it right, you could be rewarded with some decent wins.

Other cool features include a Ladbrokes blog that gives you the lowdown on the latest sporting action so that you can inform your bets accordingly. Then there’s the excellent Easy Form feature that offers you invaluable help with your horse racing bets. All of which shows that Ladbrokes is a bookie that values its loyal customers.

Betting markets - Massive number of bets at Ladbrokes Australia

Ladbrokes is a bookie who’ll give you a massive number of bets for pretty much any sporting event you could dream of. It offers a great betting service on US sports like the NFL and NBA, but it’s also equally adept at anything from an Ashes Test match to Big Bash cricket, the NRL, AFL and much more.

Above all, Ladbrokes is a truly international bookie who’s happy enough to give you lots of bets for the next ATP Sydney tennis match and then serve up serious odds for Premier League soccer over in England. Plus you’ll get a decent coverage of many smaller sports like darts, esports, Gaelic sports, handball, cycling, snooker and so on.

Just to give you an idea, we found that Ladbrokes served up around 72 prematch betting markets for the next Test match between Australia and England. Plus when you factor in all of the live betting markets that you can call in to Ladbrokes, it’s clear that this bookie will give you lots of options for betting on Australia to pummel the Pommies at cricket once more!

Odds - Amazing odds found in our Ladbrokes review

We couldn’t really recommend coming to Ladbrokes for your sports bets unless we knew that it could serve up decent odds. Thankfully we needn’t have worried as Ladbrokes revealed itself to being more than capable of putting on some of the best odds on the market.

We carried out one of our odds comparison tests to test this out. This meant comparing Ladbrokes’ odds with those of a big rival for an upcoming Big Bash game between Brisbane Heat and Adelaide Strikers. We found that Ladbrokes’ odds were clearly competitive and outperformed its rival in many of the dozens of different cricket betting markets. OK so this is just one example, but we’re pretty sure that Ladbrokes will serve up market-beating odds for betting on anything from the NRL to the AFL and beyond.

Limits - How much can you win at Ladbrokes Australia?

Our Ladbrokes review found that this bookie lets you win different amounts depending on what you’re betting on and what kind of bet you are putting down. For example, if you were to bet on an Australian metropolitan thoroughbred race, you could expect to win anywhere up to $100,000 with a standard win bet.

However, for smaller sporting events and more unusual bet types, you might find that the limits dip down to just $5,000. Like most other online bookies, Ladbrokes reserves the right to alter the minimum and maximum bet limit according to what you’re betting on. The good news is that we never felt like our bets were limited at any point at Ladbrokes Australia.

Conclusion - Top results in the best Ladbrokes review Australia has right now

Ladbrokes has a strong legacy for putting on sports betting odds and this experience shows across its sports betting site. It didn’t matter whether you were betting on a big cricket Test match or a minor WTA tennis match as Ladbrokes showed itself to be committed to giving you an endless number of betting markets and some outrageously competitive sports betting odds.

There’s plenty of competition when it comes to online sports betting in Australia, and so Ladbrokes has had to put on a virtually faultless performance in order to stay competitive. This is something that can be seen in everything from its flexible and easy-going betting limits to the quality of coverage for some of the more niche sports. So if you have any desire to bet on sport, then you should definitely consider signing up to Ladbrokes.

Conclusion - Key findings in the best Ladbrokes review Australia has to offer

We had a great time at the Ladbrokes sports betting site. Whether you’re into Australian rules football, cricket or rugby, you’ll find that Ladbrokes has all of the bets you need. Plus this bookie is easily one of the best sites for betting on horse racing in Australia.

To be honest, we couldn’t find too many criticisms of Ladbrokes. Sure its website might be a bit slower than some of its rivals, but that’s a small price to pay for such a quality service. All of which means that we have no hesitation in recommending that you register your account at Ladbrokes to put your bets down.
