USC Trojans wide receiver Jordan Addison has officially declared for the 2023 NFL Draft. Addison said he was thankful for his time playing college football, both for the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Trojans. He described his three-year spells as a “memorable journey.”
“To all my Pitt boys and my West coast men thank you for making this journey memorable forever. See you on Sundays,” said Addison in an Instagram post.
Before starting college football, Addison played as wide receiver and quarterback in his high school, Tuscarora.
Addison started eight out of 10 games with Pittsburgh in 2020. In his first season, he notched 60 receptions for 666 yards and tallied four touchdowns.
In his sophomore year, the Tuscarora graduate finished the 2021 CFB regular season with 17 receptions and caught 100 passes for 1,593 yards.
In the same year, Addison claimed several achievements, including winning the Fred Biletnikoff Award as the best wide receiver in the league.
Addison led Pittsburgh to a 45-21 ACC championship triumph over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons. Later, in the showdown at the 54th Peach Bowl, he lost 21-31 to the Big Ten champions Michigan State Spartans.
After a brilliant 2021 season, Addison decided to transfer to the University of Southern California to play for the Trojans. Being called straight to the starting lineup, he wore No. 3, which previously belonged to Trojans legend Carson Palmer.
He finished his Trojans career after starting seven out of seven games with 59 receptions, 875 yards received and eight touchdowns. He was also named First-team All-PAC-12 2022.
ESPN lists Addison as the No. 14 overall prospect and No. 2 top wide receiver among all 2023 Draft entrees.
Addison will compete with the Tennessee Volunteers’ Jalin Hyatt and the Ohio State Buckeyes’ Jaxon Smith-Njigba in WR prospect lists.
