In a partnership with NFL Films, Netflix will release a docuseries titled “Quarterback,” featuring Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings and Marcus Mariota of the Atlanta Falcons.
The series, set to premiere in the summer of 2023, will present “unprecedented access” to the league and the three quarterbacks on and off the field.
Viewers can watch Cousins and Minnesota’s journey as they mount the greatest Week 15 comeback in NFL history against the Indianapolis Colts.
The 2022–2023 season of “Quarterback” would give viewers a front-row seat when the 27-year-old Mahomes held up an offense without Tyreek Hill.
Fans can also see how he railed the Chiefs to their second Super Bowl title in four years with his 5,250 throwing yards and 41 touchdowns, which earned him his second NFL MVP award.
Fans can witness the 29-year-old Mariota’s underwhelming season after reclaiming his Falcons starting job for the first time since 2019, only to lose it to rookie Desmond Ridder.
The former No. 2 overall pick was taken off the field in Week 14 and isn’t expected to be back with the team next season.
Commenting about the docuseries, Mahomes said he was excited because fans would “get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes” glimpse at an unforgettable season.
The Super Bowl LVII MVP said viewers would see how he shared beautiful memories with his team, from the birth of his new baby in the middle of the season to bringing home the Lombardi Trophy to Kansas City.
Mahomes said the new Netflix show highlights how much time, planning and balance it takes to be an NFL quarterback.
“Playing quarterback in the NFL is a unique experience that has some pretty incredible ups and downs.”

Executive producer for Omaha Productions and former Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, who works with the show, ensured that fans “will be given a unique and intimate look at what life is like as a starting QB.”
