Colby “Chaos” Covington has sent a death threat to UFC commentator Jon Anik for comments regarding the ongoing dispute between Covington and rival Belal “Remember the Name” Muhammad.
It all started when UFC President Dana White announced that Covington would be the next contender for the welterweight title fight. This decision faced criticism from both fans and fighters alike, as Covington had been inactive for over a year before serving as a backup fighter for UFC 286.

Muhammad commented on Twitter, which he later deleted, suggesting that Covington was selected because of his race, which Covington denounced as racist.
During an interview with Mike Heck from MMA Fighting, the second-ranked welterweight spoke about Muhammad and called out his remarks.
“He’s saying I’m in this position because of my skin color, because I’m white? That’s clear racism,” the 35-year-old said.
Covington argued that since Muhammad had exhibited racist behavior, he should be banned from the UFC. He also criticized Anik’s association with Muhammad, suggesting that it compromised Anik’s impartiality as a commentator.

Previously, the UFC commentator defended Muhammad and pointed out that the 34-year-old had an impressive record of nine winning streak with no losses in over four years and had recently knocked out an undefeated fighter.
Anik added that the man deserved respect and “I don’t say that b/c he hosts a podcast w/ my twin bro.”

In response to the tweet, the ex-Interim UFC Welterweight Champion made a threat against Anik on Twitter and warned him that his kids might have “to grow up without a dad.”
Covington pointed out that they lived nearby before telling Anik to “shut your f***ing mouth,” saying that since he had provoked him, the commentator would soon face the consequences.
