Irish MMA superstar Conor McGregor has given his response to former boxer Carl Froch’s challenge and urged influential British boxing promoter Eddie Hearn to organize the bout.
During a Q&A session on his YouTube channel Froch on Fighting, Froch said he was ready to fight McGregor in a cage fight.

When questioned about YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and McGregor’s boxing abilities, Froch commented, “Neither of them can box, can they?” He then claimed he could beat Paul with just one arm.
Froch, a former WBC, IBF and WBA champion, explained that the former UFC champion could pose some minor challenges even though he is “too small.” Still, the 45-year-old Nottingham native said he wouldn’t need “much for either of them.”
McGregor responded to Froch’s comments via Twitter on Wednesday, saying, “Eddie Hearn, get this signed up lad.”

Froch and McGregor have been involved in a dispute since last year. It all started when McGregor posted threats to twist Froch’s head off on social media. The Cobra hit back, saying that the Notorious was no match for him.

Different commitments
Currently, both Froch and McGregor have their own commitments to focus on. McGregor is preparing for his upcoming UFC fight after a two-year absence due to injury. He is set to face off against Michael “Iron” Chandler, a former three-time Bellator lightweight champion, later this year.
McGregor has been determined to stick with the UFC for the rest of his fighting career despite having just two fights remaining on his contract.
“I want to be in the UFC,” the 34-year-old said. “My catalog is in the UFC. My highlight reel is in the UFC.
McGregor’s recent performances in the UFC have been underwhelming. He suffered defeat in three of his last four fights. This includes his infamous loss to the Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov and two defeats at the hands of Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier.
On the other hand, Froch has been retired from the sport since 2015. The British fighter is on schedule to be inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this summer.
During an interview with Nottinghamshire Live, Froch talked about his plans for the future. While he already works as a pundit for boxing events on DAZN, Sky Sports and BBC Radio 5Live, he expressed his desire to venture into digital projects.
Froch claimed his first world title by defeating Jean Pascal back in 2008, and he continued to secure a thrilling last-minute win over Jermain Taylor the following year.
His two losses in the division were against the unbeaten Andre Ward for a 168-pound title and Mikkel Kessler, whom he later defeated in 2013 to avenge the loss and claim two belts in the division.
