Former NFL running back and 2009 Heisman Trophy winner Mark Ingram is joining Fox Sports’ “Big Noon Kickoff” pregame show this fall.
Ingram is replacing fellow Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, who left Fox after he and the network failed to agree on new contract terms.
He will join returning host Rob Stone and analysts Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and Urban Meyer. The college football pregame show will air at 10 a.m. ET Saturdays.
As Fox Sports president of production and operations Brad Zager welcomed Ingram to the program, he called Ingram “an invaluable asset” for his “outstanding playing credentials” and “passion for the game.”
“With him on board, Big Noon Kickoff will continue to provide viewers with unparalleled analysis and commentary each and every Saturday,” said Zager.
The 33-year-old also shared the sentiment, saying how “thrilled” he is to join Fox Sports and the show.
“I can’t wait to feel the energy and excitement every Saturday, alongside some of the most talented and entertaining names in our sport, at the biggest games in college football,” said Ingram.
Playing for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Ingram rushed for 3,261 yards and 42 touchdowns from 2008 to 2010, during which he became the first player in the college football team’s history to win the Heisman Trophy. He also earned MVP honors in the BCS National Championship Game, as Alabama defeated Texas Longhorns 37-21 and won its 13th national championship in 2010.
A three-time Pro Bowler, Ingram started his professional career with the New Orleans Saints after being drafted in the first round out of Alabama.
Ingram spent 10 out of 12 seasons with the Saints, followed by one with the Baltimore Ravens and another with the Houston Texans. He is the Saints’ all-time leading rusher with 6,500 yards and 52 touchdowns.
Following his move to Baltimore in the 2019-2020 season, Ingram helped the Ravens reach the Super Bowl. He rushed for 1,062 yards and nine touchdowns that season. Meanwhile, he rushed for 233 yards and a touchdown in 10 games with the Texans.
In total, Ingram accumulated 8,111 rushing yards, 65 rushing touchdowns, 303 receptions, 2,125 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns throughout his NFL career.
