Allegations of cocaine abuse have hit Internet persona Jake Paul after attending his brother Logan’s boxing match against MMA fighter Dillon Danis in Manchester on October 14.
Instead of the usual formal ways of addressing allegations, Paul took a more comedic approach through a video uploaded to his YouTube channel.
Prior to the incident, Logan and Danis spent weeks of trash-talking and restraining orders until the match took place to settle their differences.
After the match, accusations flowed in as people assumed Paul had consumed cocaine. In a post-match recording, Paul can be seen touching his nose behind his older brother.
Jutta Leerdam, Paul’s girlfriend, defended his boyfriend, saying that she had seen first-hand how serious Paul is in maintaining his health and how haters should stop making false rumors about him.
In his latest YouTube video, Paul mimics LeBron James, surrounding himself with Coca-Cola cans and tossing a cocaine-like powder in the air. Following the scene, his face becomes more serious, and he explains that he looks that way because he is someone who sweats a lot.
Paul then zooms on his nose to show how moist his skin becomes after “five minutes of existing.”
Paul explained his breathing wasn’t in an ideal condition after he tried to save Logan during his older brother’s scuffle with Danis.
“This is the thing, is I go to brawl in the ring to save my f***ing brother,” said Paul. “Forty grown men around me, everyone’s huffing and puffing, I’m yelling, ‘You bitch, you’re lucky I didn’t kill you,’ and I’m literally drenched in sweat.”
Security was forced to separate Logan and Danis to prevent the situation from deteriorating during the altercation.
“I come out, everyone knows I’m the most sweatiest person in the world. So I get into the ring to like, go be there for my brother and s***, and I put my hat on and I’m literally sweating down my face, so I’m just like this (rubs face), trying to get the sweat off of my f***ing face,” he said.
Paul concluded his defense by saying he’s more “mushrooms and wine kinda guy.”
