The Premier League title race took another thrilling turn as Liverpool snatched a narrow victory over Nottingham Forest, thanks to a late goal by Darwin Nunez.

With the clock ticking past 98 minutes, it seemed that Jurgen Klopp’s side were set to drop two precious points against relegation-threatened opposition.

But just as despair settled in for Liverpool fans, Nunez rose above the Forest defense and headed in Alexis Mac Allister’s cross to secure all three points for the visitors.

Nedum Onuoha, former professional footballer and television pundit for ESPN, shared his thoughts.

It just goes to show that it’s never over with Liverpool

Manchester City and Arsenal, both only four points behind Liverpool, were forced to react as Liverpool celebrated a dramatic late victory and strengthened their hold on first place.

Liverpool obtained their latest triumph in the Premier League thanks to a goal scored by Nunez in the final moments (98 minutes and 35 seconds).

It was the fifth time this season that the Reds have claimed victory after going in front late in the game.

Nunez for the Win

Forest defender Murillo could only watch as Nunez stole in between his defenders to secure the decisive goal.

The win was a crucial one for Liverpool, who had been struggling to find their form following a string of injuries to key players.

Nunez’s heroics come just a week after he made his return from injury, having missed several games due to a hamstring problem.

Forest will be left to rue their missed chances, with Divock Origi going close early on and Anthony Elanga spurning two excellent opportunities.

Liverpool’s defense held strong throughout the match, with Caoimhin Kelleher making several crucial saves to keep the Reds in the game.

The win sets up a crucial clash against Manchester City at Anfield next week, with both sides vying for the Premier League title.
