Watch out Twitch because Stake’s Kick streaming platform promises to deliver a different kind of viewing entertainment. The new Stake.us streaming platform will let gamers stream gambling – something that was recently banned by Twitch.
A host of gambling streamers such as Trainwreck, Roshstein and Xposed were on hand to promote the arrival of Kick that promises to send shockwaves through the online gambling industry.
The arrival of Kick has already caused plenty of intrigue in the online streaming community. Much of this is down to the fact that the new casino streaming platform offers an outrageously generous revenue split.
This will see gamers on Kick earning 95% of all revenues from their streams which is much more than the mere 30% that they would get from Twitch. While there are concerns about the economic viability of such a revenue split, the move will undoubtedly attract those streamers who feel that Twitch’s business model is unfair.
Beyond the revenue split, the whole premise of having a casino streaming Twitch alternative is a massive deal. Twitch effectively banned all content that featured gambling on its platform on September 20, and this has left something of a vacuum that the new Kick live streaming platform promises to exploit.
Kick was created by the team behind the Stake.us which is one of the most popular social casinos in the US. It hopes that Kick will grow to become the leading content provider in the gambling industry.
With daily updates to improve site functionality, the platform will evolve to respond to the needs of its users, and it’s going to be fascinating to see where the Stake Twitch alternative goes from here.
The formal announcement of the platform came via some Stake Trainwreck Kick streaming. Trainwreck is arguably the most visible gambling streamer and well over two million fans watch him playing online slot games. The 31-year appeared to look happy to have a new home for streaming ever since his gambling streams got cut short at Twitch.
Elsewhere there was the arrival of the Roshstein Kick stream. This featured the Swedish gamer hosting a question and answer session, as well as playing some slot games online.
However, the biggest treat was yet to come with the Xposed Kick stream that featured the gamer hosting a $10,000 giveaway. The promotion was accompanied by Xposed boldly proclaiming that Kick would be, ‘the final landing spot for all gambling streams.’ Although it’s still early days for Kick, it’s already looking like Xposed’s proclamation may well prove to be correct.
